[Johnny Horton/조니 허튼] North To Alaska (1960) 가장 미국적인 느낌을 풍기는 영화라고 하면 단연 서부영화이고, 가장 미국적인 느낌을 풍기는 음악이라고 하면 컨트리뮤직이라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 가장 미국적인 느낌을 주는 배우인 존 웨인이라는 이 세 조합이 딱 어우러지는 영화가 있다. 바로 North To Alaska로 1959년 알래스카가 미국의 정식 주(州)로 편입되면서 제작된 영화이다. 공교롭게도 영화에 사용된 음악은 조니 허튼의 North To Alaska였다. 이 노래를 부른 조니 허튼은 1950년대에 많은 인기를 끌었던 컨트리 가수로서 Honky-Tonk Man, The Battle of New Orleans등 미국적 정서가 가득 풍기는 컨트리 풍의 노래를 많이 발매하였고, 50년대 당시 미국 빌보드 차트 상위권을 장식하기도 했다. 19.. 더보기
